Thomas Wayne Felty
Time for Paradise and a Permanent Sunset
Thomas “Tom” Felty, 84, set off for his final tropical getaway on June 2, 2026, in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Born on April 6, 1942, in Roanoke, Virginia, Tom lived a life defined by passion, dedication and big-hearted love.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Tom carried a strong sense of duty throughout his life and career. As a master carpenter, he was known for his exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. Over the years, he remodeled countless homes, leaving a lasting mark on the community through his skill, care and commitment to excellence.
Tom never met a gathering he could not brighten. A self-proclaimed audiophile and devoted Parrot Head, he followed Jimmy Buffett from his earliest days as a local artist and remained a lifelong fan. Whether he was enjoying music, tackling a crossword puzzle or cheering on his favorite teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Florida Gators and formerly the Washington Redskins, Tom approached life with enthusiasm and contagious joy.
He also found great fulfillment in serving others. Tom was an active member of the Lansdowne Lodge No. 711, where he was honored to serve as Past Master. He was also a dedicated member of the Marple Newtown Optimist Club and proudly served as its president from 1992 to 1994. Through these organizations, he devoted himself to fellowship, service and strengthening his community.
Above all else, Tom’s greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 46 years, Donna Finn Felty; his cherished daughter, Alison Maureen Felty Price and her husband, Jonathan Price; his adored grandson, Wyatt Price; and many loving nieces and nephews. Being Grandpa to Wyatt was one of the greatest joys of his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Dodd Page, and his stepfather, Robert Page.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on October 3, 2026. In true Parrot Head fashion, family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, music and memories of a life well lived. Rather than a goodbye, the day will be a chance to raise a glass, enjoy good company and celebrate the joy, kindness and adventure that Tom brought to so many lives. As Jimmy Buffett often reminded us, when the storms of life come, "bubbles up." Tom would want those who loved him to keep their hearts light, their spirits strong and their eyes on the horizon. Though he has sailed on to his next great tropical destination, his memory will continue to bring smiles, laughter and warmth to all who knew and loved him.
Those who wish to honor Thomas's memory are invited to .
