Spencer was the beloved son of Ivar and Connie Hestad. His love and legacy continue to shine through his family, including his daughters, Anna and Karenv and his five cherished grandchildren: Natasha, Matthew, Christopher, Brandon, and Brianna.
A man of dedication and service, Spencer proudly served his country in the Army. He went on to spend his life working primarily as a fisherman, a calling that aligned perfectly with his personal love for hunting and fishing. He also contributed his time and hard work to his secondary career in the union.
Spencer found great peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. His favorite place in the world was Petersburg, Alaska, where he could connect with the beauty of the outdoors. He loved listening to country music and was always an enthusiastic fan of Nascar racing. At home, Spencer brought warmth and comfort to those he loved through his cooking, famously known for preparing his delicious shrimp salad and fried rice.
Spencer’s memory remains a beacon of selflessness and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed and forever honored by the family and friends who hold him close in their hearts.
