In 1965, Ron Kenoly enlisted in the United States Air Force, beginning a three-year term of service that eventually stationed him in Germany. During his off-duty hours, he honed his musical craft by performing with a soul group known as The Mellow Fellows, which toured military bases and entertained fellow service members.
