Robert E. “Robbie” High, 49, of St. Stephens Church, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Evelyn L. “Susie” High. Robbie is survived by his loving wife of 15 glorious years, Jenny High; his cherished daughter, Bailey High; his father, Mike High; his brother, Mikey High and his wife, Ann High; their son, Tanner High; and his many close friends and extended family members who were blessed to know and love him.

Robbie was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a man with a heart as big as his smile. He had a great sense of humor and a way of making people laugh and feel welcome. He was known for his corny dad jokes, which he loved sharing with those around him, and he had a gift for bringing smiles to the people he loved. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and made an impact on the lives of those around him. He had a lifelong love of music, whether he was listening to George Strait or turning up KISS. Music was a true passion of his, and he also enjoyed playing the drums, sharing his love of music with those around him. He also loved movies and the stories and memories they brought to life.

A die-hard UVA sports fan, Robbie’s love for the Cavaliers ran deep. He proudly followed UVA athletics and especially loved attending football games, creating countless memories over the years with friends and family. UVA was more than just a favorite team—it was a true passion that brought him excitement, pride, and joy throughout his life.

Robbie also enjoyed competitive barbecue, a hobby that allowed him to share his passion for cooking and the pride he took in perfecting his craft. Jenny was by his side for those competitions, sharing in the experiences, memories, and moments that came with something Robbie truly loved.

Above all, Robbie’s greatest pride and joy was his daughter, Bailey. Being her dad was the role he treasured most, and the love he had for her was evident to everyone who knew him.

Robbie will be remembered for his generous heart, his kindness, his humor, his laughter, his corny dad jokes, his love of family and friends, and his passion for music, UVA sports, movies, and the things that brought him joy. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am, with services beginning at 11 am, Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at B. W. White Funeral Home, 7837 Richmond Tappahannock Hwy, Aylett.  Interment will follow at Mattaponi Baptist Church.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at:  cancer.org
