Paul Joseph Cashour
A Life Well Lived
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Cashour on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born on August 26, 1943 near San Francisco, CA to Paul and Mary (Nee Cadden) Cashour. Along with his loving wife Mary of 58 years, Paul was a devout member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Bel Air, MD.
Paul was a genuinely kind, gentle, and faithful man whose life was guided by his deep love of God and his unwavering devotion to his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his family.
Paul graduated from Mount St. Joseph high school in Catonsville, Maryland in 1961, and from Loyola University Maryland in 1965. He continued his education with graduate studies at both Loyola University and Johns Hopkins University.
He began his career as a history teacher at The John Carroll School, where he spent six years in education as well as coaching basketball. He later transitioned into the savings and loan industry, where he built a long and successful career, ultimately retiring as Executive Vice President of Rosedale Federal.
Following his retirement, Paul fulfilled a lifelong dream by moving to Paris, France with his wife, Mary, where they spent a year of culture, travel, and discovery. They shared many wonderful adventures exploring Europe and the Middle East, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Paul much preferred life’s simple pleasures—traveling, playing sports, and gathering with family and friends. He brought his integrity to everything he did, especially when it came to a good game. Known for his competitive spirit among his grandkids, Paul played fair, never cut corners, and while he never cheated, he certainly didn't let anyone win easily. His friendly banter and sense of humor made every moment with him easy and pleasant.
He will also be fondly remembered for the traditions he created—board games and chocolate milkshakes with family at the beach, Orioles games, cookouts and golf outings with friends, and the way he savored life’s meaningful moments, finding the fun in even the most ordinary days.
Survived by: wife Mary; daughters Jennifer, Megan and Karen; grandchildren Emily, Juliet, Gabriel, Liam, Declan, Jude, Annabel, Daisy, Paige and Teagan, and he is also greatly missed by his siblings and in-laws, and several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paul’s legacy is one of love, faith, and steadfast presence—a life well lived and deeply felt by all who knew him.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 1 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Church in Bel Air, MD. Following the Mass, there will be a luncheon at Rockfield Manor: 501 Churchville Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014. All are warmly welcome to join us.
The family is grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this time.
