Nancy Elena Santiago
Nancy Santiago, born on February 3, 1979, was a woman of extraordinary heart and resilience whose life was defined by her selfless devotion to others. She passed away on January 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering strength.
Nancy’s journey began in Oaxaca, Mexico, and at the age of 15, she moved to the United States. With a remarkable and independent spirit, she pushed herself to finish high school and continued her education into college, where she proudly earned her business degree. She had a deep love for learning and was a tireless worker, slowly but surely building a life of her own and eventually starting a family after meeting the love of her life.
To know Nancy was to know a person who truly put everyone before herself. Whether she was acting in her role as a daughter, granddaughter, aunt, or sister-in-law, she was the one who was always there when called. She was a gifted listener who offered "life saying" advice, never judging or speaking ill of anyone. Nancy remained constant and true to herself no matter the circumstances, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Her spirit was often the light in the room; she loved cracking jokes and worked purposefully to lift the moods of those around her. This compassion extended to her community in a beautiful way—every Thanksgiving, Nancy would cook food to give away to the homeless, a tradition that perfectly captured the generous essence of who she was.
Nancy’s greatest joy was her three beautiful children, who will miss her deeply. As the second youngest of ten siblings, her passing leaves an immense void in the hearts of her brothers and sisters.
Nancy Santiago will be remembered as a woman who never hesitated to help, who worked hard to achieve her dreams, and who loved her family with every fiber of her being. Her life was a testament to the power of a kind heart and a steady hand.
