Proctor, affectionately nicknamed "The General" during his playing days, left an indelible mark on the sport, particularly through his record-setting tenure at Murray State University.

Born on July 14, 1967, in Sylvester, Georgia, Proctor developed a passion for football early in life. He honed his skills to become a formidable presence on the field, leading the Murray State Racers as a four-year starting quarterback from 1986 to 1989. His exceptional talent earned him All-Ohio Valley Conference honors in both 1988 and 1989, culminating in his recognition as the OVC Offensive Player of the Year in 1989.

Proctor's collegiate career was highlighted by numerous records, including an impressive 8,632 career passing yards and a remarkable 9,886 total yards, both school records that underscored his versatility and impact.
