A cousin and like a big sister to me. Just like sisters, we had our secrets, laughter, other times we had arguments, awkward phases, family dramas in between. Even as adults, that bond didn’t fade, it just changed. You were my cousin by birth but you are also my chosen friend. You are part of me! Finally I was able to physically visit you my Nanay. Most of my grieving for you has passed and has turned into acceptance. As I visit your legacy I aimed to make it happy and celebrated among your followers and I think I've done that. I promised to help and extend what I can to your remaining scholars and at least finish that part of what you started. Along with Ruby, Irene and Jason you will be missed. Thank you for your love.

Tiya Adel was how I called her. She has been , to me, an example of strength, resilience, generosity and compassion . She never failed to check on me and shared me her words of wisdom. I am happy that i was able to visit her in the middle of last year and had a long conversation with her. Thank you Tiya Adel and may your soul rest in peace in the arms of our Lord .

Life is a long journey. Nanay chose to serve our Lord and helped so many people with her kind heart and her generosity that sometimes she was unaware who really were worthed of her love and trust. Marydel Glass is a great mother, mother in law and grandma. She will be missed and her memory will always be treasured. Thank you for everything you have done for us. I love you Nanay.

What ended up being my final message to my Grandma I sent: "I am glad to have visited you a couple years ago. I have enjoyed the time we spent together when I grew up. It's unfortunate I wasn't able to see you much since you have gone to the Philippines, but you have done a great service with your heritage there. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Take care. I love you and God bless you." I will miss you.
