Martha Sue “Susie” Bremer, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 23, 2026, at Research Medical Center.

She was born January 24, 1949, in Sedalia, Missouri, a daughter of the late Frank Johnson and Ruby Frances (Cramer) Bremer.

Susie was a 1967 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She worked as a caregiver and was known for her generous and big-hearted nature. Susie had a deep love for children and found joy in crocheting and knitting, often sharing her creations with those she loved.

She was a devoted member of Maywood Baptist Church in Independence.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Harris, of the home; two sisters, Reva Woodward of Sedalia and Ruth Bremer of Columbia; and a large extended family. She leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, including Jazmin Sage, DJ Sage, and Sophia Sage, along with two nephews, two great-nephews, and a great-niece.

There will be no service. Burial will take place at Smithton Cemetery at a later date.
