Mark Brnovich was born, the son of Serbian immigrants.
Brnovich received his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Served in various prosecutorial roles, including the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, as an Assistant Attorney General of Arizona, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona.
Brnovich was appointed to lead the state's gaming department, serving until 2013.
Brnovich was elected as the 26th Attorney General of Arizona, taking office in January 2015.
Brnovich was elected by his bipartisan colleagues to lead the Conference of Western Attorneys General.
Brnovich ran for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate but did not secure it.
Mark Brnovich died at the age of 59 from a heart attack.
