Mark graduated from San Bernardino High School in 2013 and went on to attend Western New Mexico University. Throughout his life, he was a man of dedication and hard work, taking on many different jobs to provide for his family. Yet, in his eyes, no work was ever greater or more rewarding than being a father to his sweet children, Zachary and Zoey Russell. He cherished the roles of being a father and a husband, finding joy and purpose in his family life. These roles were paramount to him, and he worked tirelessly at many jobs to provide for his beloved family.
A man of deep faith, Mark found immense comfort and inspiration in reading the Bible and listening to Gospel music. He knew what it did for him to be in God's presence. It's all he ever wanted and he loved sitting at his feet! Beyond his family, Mark was a dedicated "Soul Winner," as mentioned in MARK 16:15, a calling he embraced with a full heart. Mark truly desired to make a difference, one person at a time, extending his compassion to those in need. He loved giving food to the homeless, listening to their stories with an open heart, and speaking to them about God. He made sure to remind them that they were loved and offered prayers, embodying a spirit of unwavering kindness and hope.
Beyond his profound spiritual life and dedication to his family, Mark found simple joys in cooking and walking his beloved dogs, Sophie and Nena. He loved working on his family's forever home, making it exactly what they wanted, one project at a time. He loved being at home, but his favorite place was anywhere he could be with God and his family, a testament to where his heart truly resided.
Mark Russell’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and service. He lived each day with a tender heart, a generous spirit, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones and God.
