Jasper Leon Mace
Jasper “Casper” Leon Mace, born May 28, 1979, in Grants New Mexico passed away on March 22, 2026, in Albuquerque New Mexico
Casper was a man who found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. He loved the mountains and felt most at peace surrounded by nature, often spending his time fishing or simply taking in the quiet beauty of the outdoors. Music was a constant in his life—especially country music—and he had a deep passion for playing the bass. Casper also loved hitting the slot machines every chance he got.
He dedicated many years of his life working as a mechanic, where his skill and strong work ethic were evident to all who knew him. Later, he brought that same dedication to his work in the turquoise industry. No matter the job, Casper took pride in what he did and the people he worked with.
Casper was known for his signature style—rarely seen without a hat, and most often wearing his beloved cowboy hat. He had a love for iced tea, especially his grandmother’s, which held a special place in his heart.
Above all, Casper cherished his family. He is survived by his children, Aubrey Mace; Frankie Mace; his mother, Karen Aragon, her husband Tony Aragon; his brother, Wayland Mace, his wife Josie Mace; his sister, Dakota Mace and her partner Melissa Deherrera; two bonus siblings Mark Aragon and, Selena Aragon. He also leaves behind three nephews, many cousins, and extended family members who will miss him deeply.
Jasper will be remembered for his love of music, his connection to the outdoors, and the quiet, steady presence he brought into the lives of those around him.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
