James Ronald Hewitt
James Ronald Hewitt II (“Ronnie”)
December 30, 1978 – January 19, 2026
James Ronald Hewitt II, lovingly known as “Ronnie,” passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 47. He was born on December 30, 1978, and leaves behind a legacy defined by love, loyalty, and a heart that never stopped caring for others.
He is survived by his mother, Rose “Pebbles” Hewitt, whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his little brother, Nicholas Colie Player, who passed away many years ago and always held a special place in Ronnie’s heart.
Ronnie was a loving father to his four daughters—Harmony Raine Hewitt, Raven Mae Hewitt, Lovely Sky Hewitt, and Leah Rose Hewitt—who were the pride and purpose of his life. He loved his girls more than anything in this world and would have done absolutely anything for them. Being their dad was his greatest joy.
Ronnie was also a proud and loving grandfather to Bradley Mason Hewitt, Ronan Lane Hewitt, Haisleigh Rae Hewitt, and Jordan Love Davis. He adored his grandchildren, and they adored him right back. Being “Papa” brought him joy, laughter, and light, and the love he shared with them will live on through their smiles, memories, and stories.
Ronnie was a hard worker with a sweet soul. He loved the outdoors, lived for good music—especially 80s and 90s rock—and could always be counted on to show up for the people he loved. He had a circle of close friends who were more like brothers to him, friendships that lasted from childhood through adulthood. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Peggy and Bob Barker, two aunts, Renada Stroud, Terrie Rose, two uncles, Rodney Hewitt and Richard Moore, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Ronnie had a natural sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He was taken from this world far too soon, but he should be remembered not for his struggles, but for his kindness, his work ethic, his love for music and the outdoors, and most of all, his unwavering love for his daughters.
Ronnie outlived Ozzy Osbourne—something he would’ve gotten a kick out of—and leaves behind memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The loved ones of James Hewitt welcome any tribute you wish to share in their memory.
