We all lovingly called him Oshan Uncle. He was someone who brought so much laughter and joy wherever he went. He had a wonderful sense of humour and kind heart. I still remember those beautiful moments from my childhood. Early in the mornings, while we were still asleep, he would jokingly sing songs to tease Priya to wake her up. He also loved sharing funny stories about my mum and their childhood. They grew up together and had so many wonderful memories. Whenever he talked about those days he would lovingly tease my mum and tell us all kinds of funny stories that always made everyone laugh. Listening to those stories was something I truly enjoyed and they are memories I will always treasure. He never made us feel hurt. He only showed us love, kindness, and affection. That is why we all loved him so much. Even today, I can still hear Oshin Uncle’s voice as if he were right here with us. His warmth, his laughter, and the love he shared will never fade. Although he is no longer with us 😢he will never die in our hearts. He will always be remembered, loved, and deeply missed.

Early Life and Career
Born on June 14, 1958 in Kottampalli, Jacob grew up in the vibrant community of Kappil, Krishnapuram. A man of intellect and dedication, he went on to attain a Master’s of Arts Degree in Economics from Kerala University. He channeled his passion for public service into his career, serving with distinction as a superintendent at the Kerala Khadi & Village Industries Board (Kollam), where his integrity and sweet, approachable nature earned him the deep respect of his colleagues.

To know Jacob was to know true warmth. He possessed a rare, sweet temperament, always greeting the world with a gentle smile and an open heart. His quick wit and sharp sense of humor could brighten the darkest of days, and he was known for his keen passion for politics, always ready for an engaging, lively conversation.
But above all else, Jacob was a man who loved fiercely and unconditionally. For 39 beautiful years, he was the devoted husband of Annamma Jacob (Usha). Together, they built a life rooted in unwavering partnership, laughter, and an enduring love that served as the anchor for their entire family. As a father and grandfather, his affection knew no bounds. He poured his heart into his children and grandchildren, creating a home filled with joy, security, and endless affection.
Jacob’s kindness extended far beyond his immediate household. He was a fiercely loyal friend, the kind of person who would drop everything to help another, never expecting anything in return. His neverending love for his family and friends is the irreplaceable gift he leaves behind.

He is survived by his loving wife, Annamma Jacob (Usha); his devoted children, Rahul Jacob (and his wife Jeffy Joseph) and Priyanka Jacob (and her husband Albin Issac); his cherished grandchildren, Evelyn, Ephraim, and Evangeline, who brought immense joy to his final years; as well as his beloved siblings and a large, extended circle of close relatives and dear friends who will miss his gentle soul every single day.
