Erin Marie Cordova
‘How lucky we are to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard.’
Erin Marie Cordova passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 34, after a brief but brave battle with stage IV cancer. She spent her final hours surrounded by love, with her mother and father, brothers Catlin and Manny, and sister Kayla by her side. During the last few months of her fight, Erin was lovingly cared for by her mother, Lisa, who never left her side. Her father, stepmother, and siblings were there as often as possible to visit, comfort her, and support her as she faced her diagnosis. Also faithfully by her side was her beloved dog, Max, whom she cherished deeply.
Erin fought hard every day, and even through pain, she never lost her humor. She continued to crack jokes and be the funniest person in the room—just as she always was.
Erin was born on June 23, 1991, in Houston, Texas, to parents Lisa Robinson and John-David Cordova. She grew up in La Porte, Texas, where she spent her childhood playing with neighborhood friends, riding bikes, and rehearsing self-produced talent shows with her sisters—performances that thankfully never saw the light of day. After graduating with honors from La Porte High School in 2009, Erin chose not to attend college, instead staying home to enjoy the things she loved most and time with her family, especially with her youngest brother Manny, whom she felt like a second mother to.
Erin was a creative, bright soul who loved baking, gaming, coloring, painting, puzzles, and family game nights—where she often brought everyone together and had the room crying with laughter. A lifelong animal lover, Erin later worked at Rescued Pets Movement in Houston alongside her younger sister Kayla. She quickly became an integral member of the team and dedicated the last several years of her life to helping displaced animals find loving homes.
Erin had the biggest heart and was always there for anyone in her family who needed her. Though a recluse at times, she lit up every room with her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, sharp wit, and undeniable presence. She was an incredible baker and took pride in her carrot-cake cheesecake—her dad’s favorite—as well as her famous sugar cookies. Erin was the greatest aunt to her niece and nephews, whom she adored, a loving and loyal sister, and a wonderfully sarcastic yet deeply caring daughter.
Erin was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Lupe Cordova and Jo Anne Mann; uncle Joseph “Turkey” Mann; aunts Terry Hardwick and Suzanne Minx; cousin Andrew Byerly; and stepfather Larry Robinson.
She is survived by her mother, Lisa Robinson; father, John David Cordova; stepmother, Melinda Cordova; grandfathers Juan Cordova and Dennis Mann; brothers Catlin, Manny, Julian, and Caesar; sisters Erika, Kayla, and Seles; brothers-in-law Dallas and Anthony; sisters-in-law Maria and Danielle; nephews Xzavier, Greyson, Elijah, Tommy, and Owen-Roe; and nieces Sienna and Arabella.
Services will be held at 336 E San Augustine St. Deer Park, TX 77536 on February 13, 2026 from 12-1:30 pm. The graveside burial service will be held at 2 pm at Grand View Memorial Park.
In honor of Erin’s life, family and friends are asked to wear her favorite color, purple, or a butterfly—her favorite animal.
