A life well lived
Eric Lee Taylor, a beloved soul of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, at the age of 53. Eric was a man who found beauty in life’s simple joys and held a deep, enduring love for his family and friends.
A true enthusiast of life, Eric’s spirit was most vibrant when he was following his passion for racing and the excitement it brought to his world. Whether he was finding peace while fishing and hunting, enjoying the camaraderie of golfing and bowling, or feeling the freedom of riding his motorcycle, he lived with a full heart. He also found pleasure in the strategy of a poker game and the quiet, nurturing moments spent in his garden.
Eric is now reunited with those who went before him, including his cherished mother, Sylvia Taylor, and father, Charlie Taylor; his sisters, Wanda Caple and Billie Miller; his nephew, Tyler William Evans; and his great-great niece, Cam’ron Raye Porter.
His legacy of love lives on through his children, Dwayne Knight (Annie), Jason Knight, Jessica Knight, and Lacie George. He was a proud and doting grandfather to Gracie, Jessie, Raiden, Rhett, Ryver, CJ, Olivia, Allen Cole George-Griffith, Harlynn Massey, and Daxton George. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, DeWayne Taylor (Marsha), Anna Sullivan (Doug), and Erica Evans (Joe), along with a large, loving circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who will miss him dearly.
To honor Eric’s life and the connections he built, a potluck memorial will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado. Family and friends are invited to gather, bring a favorite dish, and share the precious memories that define his beautiful life.
