22 year old woman’s suicide shocks the city
Elisabeth Shchenya Andrews, formerly known as Elisabeth Marie Andrews, was born on April 16, 2003, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and departed this life in her home city on April 1, 2026. Her passing has been ruled by police as a suicide, finding her body at the bottom of a sixteen-story building.
Elisabeth was a soul of quiet intensity who moved through the world with a fierce and steadfast loyalty. Though she did not seek the spotlight of a crowd, she held those within her small circle with the reverence of a sacred treasure. She was remembered as a "gentle storm"—soft, emotional, and deeply feeling, yet possessed of a quiet power that she often failed to recognize in herself. She held the rare gift of offering laughter in the darkest hours and transforming a simple, quiet moment into something of lasting significance, leaving an indelible mark upon the souls of those she loved.
Elisabeth has left behind handwritten reflections addressed to those who held a central place in her heart: her mother, Michelle; her father, Shawn; her older sisters, Rebekah and Stephana; and her lover, Noah Oberrath.
Elisabeth is survived by her mother, Michelle Andrews; her father, Shawn Andrews; and her older sisters, Rebekah and Stephana Andrews, along with her extended family.
