Dedtrich (Dedtrick) Wise
A moment in time
Dedtrich was a woman whose life was defined by the deep love she held for her family and the boundless joy she shared with the world. A truly wonderful mother and grandmother, she leaves behind a legacy of tenderness in her only daughter, Tiffany Wise-Theodore Hall, and her five cherished grandchildren: Khiral, Lyric, DeRaymond Jr, Aurora, and Aumaris. Dedtrich was a beacon of positivity, a soul who brought laughter to every room and gave selflessly to others, even when she had little for herself.
Her journey of hard work and service was marked by years of dedication, beginning as a housekeeper at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel (1989-1994) and Hotel Dieu (1995-2000). She later served as a distribution technician at Charity Hospital (1999-2005), Tulane Hospital (2000-2005), and Touro Hospital (2007-2014), before completing her years of service at Elmwood Fitness Center and environmental services (2008-2019). Through every role, she was well-loved by many, leaving an indelible mark on her colleagues and her community.
Dedtrich has gone to be reunited with her beloved twin sister, Dawn Wise-Martin, and her grandmother, Annalee Thomas Wise, who preceded her in death. While she is deeply missed, the love she spread among her daughter, her grandchildren, and all who knew her will never fade. Her memory remains a beautiful light that will be carried on forever.
"So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy." — John 16:22
