Christopher Shawn Wilson
May 1, 1966 – March 31, 2026
Christopher Shawn Wilson, lovingly known as Chris, passed away on March 31, 2026, at the age of 59. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle.
Chris was a man of many talents. He had a deep passion for music and singing, even teaching himself to play the piano, keyboard, and guitar. In his youth, he worked as an actor, dancer, and singer. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed painting, drawing, photography, and baking—he had quite the sweet tooth and loved creating treats to share with others. He truly did it all.
He possessed a creative spirit that shone in everything he touched, bringing joy to those around him. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, Chris was always ready with a joke and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome.
He was kind, loving, and very understanding—a person who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Chris had a way of bringing people together, and his presence made life brighter for so many.
Chris also had a deep love for animals and nature. Over the years, he cared for several beloved dogs and cats, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He had a gentle appreciation for all living things, including insects, and was known for his compassion—he would never even harm a spider. Chris found joy in the beauty of flowers and the natural world, embracing the simple wonders of life with a sense of peace and respect.
In 2014, Chris invested in his company, LunaGrown, specilized in making jam, marmelade, and jelly. This business gave him great joy and success. His creations brought happiness to countless tables, reflecting the same warmth and care he showed in his everyday life. He even wrote a book called Beyond the Bread the definitive guide to the Tasteful Exploration of Jam & Marmalade! With photos by his dear friend Kasha Bialas. He truly believed that everyone deserved a seat at the table.
Chris is survived by his parents, Garry Wilson and Bonnie Wilson; his stepmother, Patricia Lewis Wilson; his brother, Robbin Wilson, and sister-in-law Anita Wilson; his sister, Melissa Caputi, her husband, Jon Caputi, his stepbrothers Charlie and Michael Lewis, his nephew, Chance Wilson, and niece, Alexa Wilson; his step nieces Victoria Attardo, and Maddie Lewis, and his step nephew Trevor Caputi.
