Bonnie Sue (Cox) Purvis 76 of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19th, 2026,at Meadow View Rehabilitation.

Born February 5th,1950 to Deloris and William cox, Bonnie was known for her sweet nature and kindness. She loved nothing more than sitting on the edge of a lake or in a boat fishing. She loved watching birds and butterflies and caring for animals.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Purvis, her parents, her sisters, Connie Stoner, Vickie Mast and Sandy Cox, and her grandson Matthew Aaron Ebertshauser.

She is survived by her devoted sister Bunny Austin of Rossville, Kansas; her children Donna Cardenas, Denise Cooper, Brian Kniep of Lexington, Indiana and David Barnett of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren, Hargis Combs Jr, Cody Combs, Jeremy Ebertshauser, Travis Ebertshauser, Joshua Hill, Marissa Ebertshauser, Allissa Ebertshauser, Hannah Stacy, Katie Stacy and Katherine Geisler; many great-grandchildren; and her loyal friend, Tony Smith who was always there for her. Her brother William (Billy)Cox has been estranged from the family for many years and it is unknown if he survives.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial service as she has arranged her end-of-life plans in advance
