Contributed basslines to the critically acclaimed second album by Funkadelic.
Played a key role on the influential third Funkadelic album, known for its extended guitar solos and atmospheric sound.
Nelson left Funkadelic due to financial disputes, becoming the first core member to depart.
Briefly returned to the studio to play on the track "Better By the Pound" for the album "Let's Take It To The Stage."
Released an album with other P-Funk alumni under the name O.G. Funk.
