Köster started her musical journey playing saxophone for the avant-garde band DIN A Testbild.
She co-founded the influential all-female band Mania D. with Gudrun Gut and others, performing in Berlin and New York.
With Gudrun Gut, Köster opened Eisengrau, a cultural hub for underground fashion, film, and art.
Köster co-founded Malaria!, becoming its lead singer and lyricist, achieving international recognition.
While living in New York, Köster composed music for the film 'Peppermills,' which won a Teddy Award at the Berlinale.
Köster co-authored the thriller novel 'Mandalay Moon' with Martin Schacht.
She released her first solo album, titled after the nickname given to her by John Peel.
Köster continued her solo career with the release of her second album, 'Kolonel Silvertop'.
