It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan (Damon) Coats, who entered her heavenly home on July 10th, 2026 under the loving care of family and hospice. Sue was born to John and Luella Damon on August 12th, 1945. She was the youngest of 8 children. She had 2 sisters; Betty and Maxine, and 5 brothers; John, Bob, Dennis, Ken, and Wayne. Sue attended Marshall High School class of 1963 where she met her high school sweetheart Paul who she was married to for 62 years.

Sue is the mother of Faye (Tom) Bartlett, Lyn (late Lee) Taylor, Dale Coats, Kirsten (Michael) Fritze, and Dean (Melissa Gerard) Coats. Sue became a grandma in 1983 and spent countless hours enjoying the time with her 11 grandchildren.

Sue was proceeded in death by the love of her life, Paul in 2024, her son Dale, her parents, her sister Betty, and her brothers.
