Roy Edward MCGLONE
In tender memory, we celebrate the life of Roy McGlone, who was born on May 3, 1931, and passed away on December 15, 2022. Roy was a man of quiet dedication and deep love, whose life was beautifully anchored by his service, his work, and the family he cherished above all else.
The son of Burley McGlone and Cappie Allen McGlone, Roy learned the values of commitment and duty early in life. As a young man, he proudly served his country in the Army as a Private from 1946 to 1948.
Following his military service, Roy built a life of honest, diligent labor. He worked as a factory worker, dedicating himself to his career until his well-earned retirement at the age of 63. In his free time, Roy found peace and quiet satisfaction in the art of woodworking, shaping creations with patience and care. Yet, of all the places his journey took him, Roy’s absolute favorite place to be was always home.
Above all his achievements, what Roy was most proud of in this life was his family. His love and legacy shine brightly through his son, Gregory McGlone, and his four beloved grandchildren: Krystal Gaskins, Samantha Hyneman, Rachel Sargent, and Nicholas McGlone.
Roy McGlone’s life reminds us of the quiet beauty of a life well-lived—one rooted in the comfort of home, the pride of hard work, and an enduring love for family. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved him.
