It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnathon Crawn.
Johnathon Crawn, born on October 23, 1925, in Buffalo, New York, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, in Wayne, Michigan, at the age of 100. His remarkable century of life was filled with adventure, humor, and a deep love for his family and the great outdoors.
Johnathon was predeceased by his 3 brothers and his beloved wife and soulmate, Barbara. Together they built a life rich with love and laughter. He is survived by his children: daughter Lori and her five children; son Lee and his wife Marie, along with their two children; son Richard; and daughter Laila and her three children. Johnathon’s legacy lives on through his family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Johnathon found joy in fishing and hunting. His passion for nature was matched only by his skill as a mechanic, a talent that served him well throughout his life. Known for his sharp wit and penchant for practical jokes, Johnathon had a unique ability to bring smiles to everyone he encountered. His sarcasm and humor were legendary among those who knew him.
Johnathon’s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and inspire them to carry forward his spirit of adventure and laughter. A Graveside Service will be held on July 29, 2026, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 19807 Woodward Ave.
