Dwayne Frederick Oliver, 61, passed away unexpectedly on June 18, 2026, following a heart attack. Born on June 17, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dwayne lived a life defined by hard work, dedication to his family, and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
Dwayne was the beloved son of Sue Oliver and Jay Oliver. Raised in New Orleans, he developed a strong work ethic and an appreciation for skilled craftsmanship that remained with him throughout his life. For many years, he worked in the yacht painting industry, where his attention to detail, pride in his work, and commitment to quality earned him the respect of coworkers and clients alike.
On October 9, 2002, Dwayne married Caterina Podda, with whom he shared nearly twenty-four years of love, companionship, and countless cherished memories. Together they built a life grounded in faith, loyalty, and family.
Dwayne was the proud father of two sons from a previous marriage: Quentin James Oliver and Christopher Dwayne Oliver. He is survived by Quentin James Oliver (Kali and Eleanor); Christopher Dwayne Oliver and his two children; and his beloved wife, Caterina Podda Oliver. Dwayne was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren, each of whom brought him tremendous joy and happiness.
Those who knew Dwayne will remember his kind heart, quick wit, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, following New Orleans sports, sharing stories from his years in the marine industry, and finding satisfaction in a hard day's work. He was dependable, honest, and deeply loyal to the people he loved.
Though his passing leaves a profound void, his family finds comfort in the memories he created and the love he shared throughout his life. His legacy will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
A celebration of Dwayne's life will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM, at Abundant Life Christian Center in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, share stories, and honor a life well lived.
