It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Morelli, who was born on July 27, 1967, and passed away on May 27, 2026, in Albany, New York. Albert will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, and the countless people whose lives he touched through his service and compassion.
Albert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Kristina Morelli, and a proud and loving father to his only child, Kodie Morelli, whom he cherished beyond measure. One of the greatest joys of his life was becoming a grandfather to his beloved grandson, Savon Albert Whitfield, who brought endless happiness and pride to his life.
Albert dedicated his life to helping others. In 2001, he bravely served as a firefighter during the tragic events of the September 11th attacks, answering the call of duty with courage and selflessness. Following his service as a firefighter, Albert continued his commitment to his community as an Emergency Medical Technician with Mohawk Ambulance Service in Albany, New York, where he faithfully served for over 20 years. Through his work, he cared for countless individuals and became known for his compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to those in need.
Above all else, Albert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of kindness, strength, and generosity who always put others before himself. He loved his community and found purpose in serving and helping those around him. Whether through his career, his friendships, or his devotion to his family, Albert left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of service, love, and compassion will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. He will be remembered not only for the lives he saved and the people he helped but also for the warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love he shared with his family and friends.
